The Journeyman was conceived as an entry-level model of customized harmonica that combines the covers and reed plates of a Hohner Marine Band 1896 with an ABS comb like the one used in the Hohner Special 20. It preserves much of the feel and tone of the classic Marine Band, while providing greater consistency, comfort and servicability.

The Journeyman improves on the playability of Hohner's classic blues harp, the Marine Band 1896. We replace the leaky, swelling pearwood comb with an ABS plastic comb, assemble with precision machine screws throughout, and hand adjust the tuning and response. It is also priced to provide a great value to our customers, the working men and women who built Working Man's Harps.

The Journeyman is available in all keys from low D through high G, and in many cases ships directly from inventory. In the case that something is out of stock, or in an unusual key not in stock, it can usually be delivered in two weeks or less.
